Community Building
(Whole Class Inquiry—Using Video, Wikis & Blogs) March 2, 2009 (Artwork by Doug Smithenry)
First of all, thank you all for coming this morning. I hope the information I shared proved useful and/or thought-provoking for you. Please e-mail me with any questions, comments, concerns, etc.
Here is a link to my chemistry 283 wiki. Please feel free to flip through it. You'll notice places illustrating wonderful examples of community building, along with spots where we missed the mark...and everything in between! Let me know if you have any questions.
Also, here is a link to my chemistry 173 blog. Student blogs are listed in the right sidebar. I will admit that this blog is still in the works. I don't feel the same connection to this as I do my professional blog or the chem 283 wiki. But I'm being patient! Some of the student blogs, on the other hand, are spectacular!
And my professional blog is listed below, and here. Your insight into any and all posts is most welcome!
Lastly, here are the slides (below, as well) I used for this morning's presentation on Community Building. Let me know if you have any trouble. (Not all of the videos are included, unfortunately. Slides 1, 27, 28, 41, 42, 43, 54, & 108. If I can fix that, I will!)
